Destinations on the road of life.

I am sure most have heard the phrase "Home is where the military sends you." This mantra is very true and alas we are moving to a new home in central Alaska. Some might be frightened by the idea of moving from one end of the world to the other...this doesn't hold true for our family.. We are ecstatic!! About 4 years ago (April 2004) we left Alaska on our voyage to Panama City Florida. We packed up our truck, loaded the kids (only 2 at that time) and headed on our way to visit family and friends. This time around we are happy to return using the same map.
Our first stop will be in Waynesboro, VA to visit my brother and his family. My brother just moved to this small town so it should be a great place to "stop and smell the roses" Then it's off to my parents house in upstate New York. My parents live in a beautiful log cabin with in the Adirondack Mountains. After a few days with the parents we will be headed to Minnesota to see my husband's family. This will be a great visit! Many of my husband's family have yet to meet the youngest of our children. Also it is always fun to go home again!
From Minnesota we will be heading west in to Montana and then up to Canada... One of my all time favorite places to stop is the Calgary zoo and the World's Largest Mall in Edmonton. You really must go there at least once in your life!
After our brief time in Alberta we head off to British Columbia, and Yukon Territory via the wondrous Alkan Highway. Once our trip comes to a close we should be safe and sound in our new home! Alaska was our home 4 years ago and I am excited to begin another journey on our road of life!

Sounds like you're going to have an amazing adventure! I'd love to see pics from along the way. You have a wonderful attitude about moving. I was a military brat, so I know all about it. Our biggest moves were from Nebraska to Okinawa, and then from Okinawa to New Mexico!
